We would like to invite primary and secondary school teachers to register for the Open Educational Resources: Teacher Training workshop, organized by ActiveWatch on Friday, February 14th 2014, at the Compendiu Center for Professional Training, within the “Nicolae Kretzulescu” Higher Commercial School in Bucharest. The event is organized in partnership with the Association for New Technology and Internet Services (APTI).

Together with Bogdan Manole, Nicolaie Constantinescu and Dr. Robert Schuwer, we would like to introduce you to the field of Open Educational Resources (OER) and technology-based open education. Throughout the 6-hour workshop, you will familiarize yourself with open resources in order to create lessons; you will learn where to find OER, what open licenses are and what we can learn from the experience of other European states. You will also participate in an experimental session on the Moodle platform where you will create a lesson using open educational resources only. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to address questions to our guest from the Netherlands – Dr. Robert Schuwer – specialist in the field of OER. He will present his program, Wikiwijs.nl, in an online session delivered in English. Participants will be awarded participation certificates.

Bogdan Manolea is the CEO of APTI and EDRi-Gram Editor (bi-weekly digital civil rights e-newsletter). Bogdan is interested in IT law and digital civil rights. He has been writing about Law & the Internet on www.legi-internet.ro since 2001.
Nicolaie Constantinescu is an information architect for Kosson.ro community, member in the Executive Office of the Romanian National Agency of Librarians and Libraries (ANBBR) and one of the initiators of acces-deschis.ro Coalition.
